Guided Butterfly-watching Tour

Having a rare geological structure that features several basking blossomy valleys and with an average altitude of 1200 meters, Cappadocia is home to a myriad of butterflies. Throughout the region, close to 100 species have been identified so far, including the Zegriselpheme (Sooty orange tip), Zerynthiadeyrollei (Eastern steppe festoon), Leptideadupondieli (Eastern wood white), Polyommatusmenalcas (Anatolian white-blue), and Polyommatusicarus (common blue).

The most favorable time of the year for observing as well as photographing butterflies in Cappadocia is from April through August. The tour begins at the early hours of the morning and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
